Pow Wow

A whole LOT of pictures were had at the Last Chance Community Pow Wow and I had an incredible time!   I was so impressed by the family friendly atmosphere and their theme this year was Honor the Children.  Which they did, as well as the elders and military and everything.  What a soul-filled event!    I'm not going to be able to put ALL the pictures in this post but if you are interested you can click HERE and see the whole bunch!   If you get a chance to go to one of these events - GO!  I have emotions and thoughts about all of these shots but will leave you to find your own.

What great photos! We missed the Pow Wow this summer, I love seeing all the regalia:)
These pow wow's are relatively new to me. We stumbled into one held on the shore near Poulsbo, Washington a few years ago and were so blown away by the comaraderie, the seriousness of the dancers, the beauty, the costumes, the children, and especially the music. Just the thought of those drums and the keening voices gives me goose bumps even now.
