Strolling Rivers Edge Trail

October 01, 2014  •  4 Comments

The city of Great Falls had done an absolutely fabulous job developing parks and trail along the Missouri River as it flows through town.   This is one of my favorite trails although I've not taken the time to walk or bike it all I have driven the length as it follows River Drive.   There are many lovely park areas on both sides of the trail and street as well as the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and Giant Springs State Park.

Mom and I stopped at Giant Springs (you'll see those shots in another post) and strolled part way down the trail.  It was getting very hot (it ended up being 93 degrees this end of September day) so we didn't stroll far.

There was some standing water (bet the skeeters were bad here this summer) along the limestone cliffs and I really liked this refection.  This is the first summer I've been here that I could actually hear water seeping through the rock.

Beautiful in Autumn -- and I love that river! Anything water makes me happy.

Congrats on getting your own website -- something I'd love to have the nerve to do (afraid of losing everything and also of haing to learn yet another new thing ;>)
