...and it just started!! LOL
I was very happy to get to see my friend Adele yesterday even before the weekend started. She came and did massages and JSJ on some of my dogs! It was awesome as was proven by the quiet peaceful slumber that enveloped my house last night. She is an amazing lady and has such a great energy with the dogs. I truly am blessed to have so many special dog people in my life (and so are my dogs!).
This morning they predicted an inversion in the valley and they were right, thick fog greeted me as I drove to town to meet with my good friend Sheralyn for coffee and a trip to the Farmer's Market (only like 2 of those left till summer). We had a lovely visit and I found this really cool and inexpensive tree (undecorated) that I just knew would look cool tied to one of my posts on my front deck. A trip to Big Lots and a set of solar LED lights and a few cheap ornaments (so it isn't a big deal if they blow away or get wet) and this is the result!
Realize that the tree and this friend flamingo are the extent of my Christmas decorating. I don't get company and hate taking down the decorations so I keep it simple and small if at all.
I made my first ever trip to our new Big Lots store today as well. I'm still searching for ribbon and no, I didn't find it there either! But I still dropped a wad when I found they had a number of things I wanted for the trailer. A narrower rug for the front, some kitchen items (not many tho), a cool little tool kit in a canvas tool bag and the one thing I just decided I wanted was storage cubes - you know those ones that look like ottomans. I found a long one and two short ones way cheaper than any place else. The temps today warmed up enough and although I'm still waiting for the pigtails to come so I have power in the trailer I just ran the extension cord thru the door and turned on the electric heater. I made it pretty decent in there so I could unpack the purchases and get some things laid out. You'll see rugs on the floor although I'll be putting foam squares down on the floor under those when it arrives.
The crates laying in the back are to keep the rug from curling up. My goal in this trailer is COLOR! Like my sheets???
I even found a cutting board that would fit over the sink. Also a couple of cool boxes, one of which hold the plates, bowls and all the silverware (which is kept in the box with foam pipe insulation stuck in the side. Still more organizing to do and I am not getting more than 4 of ANYthing! Honestly 2 would probably do but going for small and light regardless. Museum putty will be put down to hold the toaster oven in place and there is a plug right behind it. Under the sink/stove is the cabinet where the microwave will go.
My storage benches - couldn't get the little ones in anything but brown. This way they can also be moved around and can be used to sit on as well as store whatever.
I'm tired and ready to just sit and veg tonight. Have plans with another good friend tomorrow and then the weekend will be gone again all too soon!
