Louie does not always go along when we go road tripping but I do need to take him more often as I think it is an amazing boost to his confidence to be out and see that the other dogs are having fun running amuck.   It is still however, very hard to get a photo of him as he usually won't leave my "bubble" which for him is about 24 inches around my feet.    Most of you know about his past and his many trust issues which led him to have a very small "box" in which to live (and he preferred it if that box was a kennel that kept him safe from the boogie man).   Being out in the great outdoors with Sterling, Epic and Teddy exploring does great things for him and he was completely exhausted by days end!

You can see a little "OMG" in his eyes in the first shot as he watched the poodles (so he didn't get run over) and kept an eye on where I was.  That looks softened by the time we got to the reservoir (the last 2 shots).  I was very proud of this quiet reserved (and still a little scared) boy though.   Love seeing glimpses of his real self popping out on occasion!
