The weather is absolutely craptastic outside today so a great day to hole up in the house with the dogs and read and watch some of OWN (yeah it's free this month and I just heard something I want to do - for 21 days, make a 2 minute contact and say thank you every morning to someone you know).   We have horrid winds today but the sun is shining and the temps have dropped about 30 degrees.  More of the crazy weather patterns we have had this year.    However this morning I walked out to the trash and saw this (somewhere there was moisture).   Made me smile.  I worked my buns off yesterday to get tasks outside done while it was warm (as in 82F) and nice.   So glad I did!   The morning was lovely and cool and I wanted to get the poodles out for a walk of some sort - however short.    So put Sterling in harness and hooked him up to his cart and away we went.  We are working on his long haul work for the draft test - a mile.   Still only using the empty cart but my goal is to keep it fun and get him to enjoy it and get used to terrain and the distance before I start adding any weight.   He did amazing and I am very proud of him (some phone shots for you).

Epic was just as goofy as always and he wanted to have a stick to fetch (no I didn't throw that sucker).   This was what he choose. Wonder when he's going to start pulling trees out by the roots?

We came home and the dogs got to spend most of the day outside in the yard relaxing and enjoying the sunshine while I got the travel trailer winterized (never goes as smooth as one would hope), started the generator (again never goes as easy as one would think) and got the huge area rug I have in my living room, out on the clothesline where I took the power washer (again not as quick as you'd think) to finally cooperate and power washed that sucker.    It isn't completely dry this morning but enough that I could get it back into the house.   It was incredibly dirty and I will now make sure I do that probably twice a year.    I didn't however get my water heater drained out and cleaned so will hope for another nice day on a weekend where I can do that.

So there ya go, back to work tomorrow, transitioning again now that our direct boss is leaving Friday but going forward none the less.
