It has been a cold bugger here this past holiday weekend and I was pretty happy to not HAVE to get out in it when I didn't want to. We may be cold and dealing with serious freezing fog every day (which doesn't seem to burn off until about 2 hours before sunset which sucks!) but we aren't dealing with some of the really dangerous weather that is going on elsewhere. So counting that as a blessing.
I was thrilled to get the delivery of my new 1/2 Christmas tree during the weekend so I got to finish the decorating and the gift wrapping AND the Christmas cards. I'll post more on that later once I get photos off the phone.
Meanwhile I'm going to share some shots from the flocking that is going on outside. We've had so much hoarfrost that the trees are getting more and more flocked by the day. Sunday morning was the weirdest though as even things that were undercover (under the eaves, under the carport) had frost on them which I've never seen and boy it was a cold frosty deal getting wood in for the stove let me tell you!
These are some of the spider webs up under the eaves of the house.
Still not getting the detail in the frost flakes that I'd like but you get the idea. I think I really would need a real macro lens to do what I want.
It really is making it seems a lot like Christmas though and I had to smile on the way home today listening to White Christmas as I drove down my road home. I even got to sit in my office this morning and watch the start dust fall outside and that was really cool.
Meanwhile inside....
They do love the wood stove and being able to take off the fleece jammies at least for a while.
The weekend however brought a bath and groom for Teddy who found out I would indeed follow through on my threat to make him look like a chinese crested again. He is so very handsome and now super soft!
Louie went into hiding though....and gave me the stink eye to boot...
The poodles were going stir crazy not getting out to play so today when I got home and had a tad bit of sunshine left we went out to play a bit in the front yard. Dork-ville for sure! heehee
One poodle or two?
