..and boy am I glad THIS week is over!   It has sucked the big wahzoo but last night as I bawled my way home after finding out the guy I called to fix my water problem "wouldn't" and being about as stressed as I've been in a long time I had a little ray of sunshine when I came upon the gentleman working on the community water system (there are 60 of us on one well system and all of us then have cisterns for our house water).   I asked if he would turn the water off that the guy that was supposed to fix the problem didn't do (I'm beyond ticked off at that company now).  He generously said he would, I told him the tale of the poop that refused to fix my cistern issue and he was so calm and amazingly gently saying "we'll figure it out and I'll look at it next week - for now, I'll leave the shutoff key with you and at least you are trying to get it fixed".   The angels shown down on him I swear!   Not only that but he showed up unexpectedly today and FIXED IT!!!!  Oh Happy Dance.

Ahhh but all of the news wasn't good, it had to be tempered with the $700 van fix that didn't fix the problem I took it in for.  I still think the starter is having issues so it will have to go back in to the mechanic next week.   Pooo.......

Still we had a glorious record breaking sunny 61 degrees today so I asked my boss for the afternoon off and I took 4 of the boy dog to the reservoir with the intent of walking the entire way around.   We did all 6 miles of it!  Those of you that know the area, the above photo is of Hogback (there is a fire lookout up there) and am sad to see so little snow!  The open water and ice are full of geese and today is the first day I saw ducks around.

I have 4 super tired dogs tonight and boy are they quiet.    So the photos here today are from that walk.   It was so warm I was able to take Louie's jammies off and he went "naked" (I really need to get to grooming my cresteds!).   He's pretty fuzzy but I knew if I was shedding my jacket he could shed his.

The required group shot!  :)

"What do you mean I go places I shouldn't????"

He CANNOT stay out of the water.   He just can't do it!

I really loved how these next 2 photos below turned out.  It was while we were bushwhacking through the willows on the spit.

Pretty brave of them huh?  I was impressed that they let me put them up there and stayed!

After our walk I ripped on home and hopped in the shower so I wouldn't smell like swamp mud when I took Paqui to the vet.   Bad news - it killed the bank account again but good news is he really is healthy.   She said he definitely has a urinary tract infection so is on pills for 2 weeks then test again - but his prostate is healthy, he is not diabetic, his kidneys are good and no crystals.   I hope this will help the immense amount of pee that boy is producing and maybe help that bladder tighten back up some!!!  YAY!

(This below is Teddy thanking doG he made it back to the van and circling waiting for me to catch up!)

I think you are well on the upside now, even though it will take awhile before your bank account will feel that way. It seems like lately I have thought crying might somehow be an option when it comes to taking care of busniess. I don't know where that is coming from. I don't cry and it never helps. Some people get some relief that way. I hope you are one and I hope you truely are over this bad patch - or will be come spring anyway.

Hogsback looks incredibly beautiful, wonderful image, it's very evocative. Sorry you had so many problems, rapt that you met a good Samaritan :)
