We did quite a bit of driving and hiking in the mountains around the Bitterroot Valley and I'm going to just stuff a whole bunch in this post for you!   The poodles ran and ran some more and on our long 8 mile walk up one of the closed roads we even took Teddy and Louie.  I was so proud of those little dogs and their short legs and little feet cuz I know MINE hurt like heck when we got back to the truck!

The best prize of the weekend, however temporary.   We came across about 3 deer legs on one of our walks.  No they were not allowed to bring them home!

The photo below required a great deal of coaxing of Sterling who of course was really worried he'd get his feet wet.  It was however before they went back across to Robin (ahead of me) who Sterling greeted with tall tales of how horrid it was that I made him do such things.  It was also before the great "cocky confidence" scene where Epic flew back over the logs to me (who was in the middle of them crossing the stream) and he skidded like he was oh so smart and well, fell in the creek, which was moving fairly fast.    He's not swam in moving water like that so it scared him a bit but he swam and finally got over to the side with me just standing still yelling SWIM SWIM SWIM!    Spooked me too but he did good and definitely thought twice before charging into the water the rest of the day!
