Campground St. Regis, Montana

I wanted to pop in a campground review or two from my trip.  I had gotten a recommendation for this campground from a coworker who hadn't stayed there but had visited people there.   When I called a few months prior to my trip to make a reservation I was greeted by a very lovely enthusiastic owner (Lisa).

I don't have a ton of pictures but will say this campground was very clean, the staff was very friendly and it is dog friendly (with a short little mowed dog walk path - but watch for ticks just sayin').   I give them super high marks for the cutest ever chainsaw carvings all around the park.   I will also say - remember where you are - it was cold the end of May!

I did not use the showers or laundry or bathrooms - since I was not dry camping at all this trip I figure I have a trailer with facilities and I'm going to use them.  Sorry folks!   They also have a tiny little swimming pool but as it was raining and cold no takers on that. They also have a few things in the campground store as you are a ways from St Regis.  I did go through and use their dump station though when I left and it was pretty easy to get to and they also have propane if you need it.  There are picnic tables at the sites and each site has decent space (you aren't parked on top of your neighbors) although as you can see - there were not many people there as it was still off season.

Finding this place is a bit tricky but follow the signs.   I thanked doG for good signage to get there and it is Exit 33 off I90 in Montana.   They have room for everything from tents to big rigs.  There is highway noise from I90 but it isn't so bad that you can't sleep as long as you aren't in the overflow area.

The other thing to remember is you are in bear country like it or not so pay attention to the trash restrictions as well as what you leave out (just don't do it).   Their website is http://www.campgroundstregis.com/ and yes I'd recommend them.  Would give them a 4.5 out of 5 stars if that is how you roll!
