I will admit here and now that I've avoided this stop every trip I've made as it was always so freaking busy with people!   It did not disappoint but I knew that I had plenty of time to burn before I could arrive at my campsite at Champoeg so decided if it wasn't too hot and the parking lot wasn't log jammed full I'd give it a try.   Luckily of the 2 parallel RV spots, one was empty and yes, it was warm but I wasn't going to stay long...too many people.   I knew that it was the worst time of day for photos but what the hey so I unloaded all the dogs into the trailer for a break, opened the vents and turned on the roof fan for them and walked under the freeway to the falls.

People everywhere but not as bad as the weekend last May that I hiked in the Columbia Gorge still there had to be ONE group of annoying school children who once they got to the bridge refused to let anyone else over either direction.   I applaud those teachers and parents that try to keep that mass of kids (about 30 of em) under control but honestly it was about all I could take.   

Still here are a few shots to share - for what it is worth.  It really is cool to be able to walk across the bridge (was closed last year when I was there) and you can hike to the top of the falls as well.   I knew the dogs wouldn't last that long in the trailer.
