The last of the heron photos for this batch.  The photos in the previous post are the "end" of this heron who sat and preened and preened and preened while I sat in the boat and waited and waited and waited for her to take off.   I knew with the yelling babies (listen to video at the end) that she wouldn't be sitting still for long.

On a different note, will likely not be posting much blog for the next week but don't give up on me as I know I'm going to have some great photos to share after the 4th of July weekend.  My brother arrived last night to surprise my Mom (who is now here for her summer visit) and we are going to enjoy each other for the week.  We've not been together for over 3 years and before that it was like 15 and this is only the 2nd time in 30 years my brother has been here!!!   Am very excited!   Have a great week all!
