Mountain Goats that is! I discovered I've not ever gotten any pictures of wild mountain goats that were within shooting distance. The photos I had of any previously were film (believe it or not) and up in Glacier 25 years ago where you can practically walk up to them. So I was super thrilled as we got up above the tree line on Beartooth Pass and in the meadow were 4 goats, grazing peacefully (read no tourists) with a PERFECT back drop! :) Yes be still my heart and be still my big a** camera lens! haha I certainly didn't really expect to see any wildlife out and about up there - at least not close enough to the road where I'd be doing photos (no hiking this trip). I am exceptionally pleased with the shots considering it was 40 degrees and howling cold wind and yup, I forgot my gloves! Also wonderful to see that the people that did stop along the road were not doing the "Yellowstone thing" trying to walk right up to them and disturb them, gives me hope!
