I didn't JUST use my new macro lens for shots of flowers!   I did get some shots of a few of the dogs (that would hold still long enough).  Poodles (Epic and Sterling), Josie and Louie were the captures.  Yeah Josie has a giant tear stain but I can't be on top of everything.   Yes she is also sporting short hair as after the June shows I decided 1.  She hates the show ring - too much stress, 2. Keeping her in long show quality hair means she isn't able to be the poodlish tomboy she really is and 3.  The whole point of conformation showing is to get a championship to show your dog meets the standard for the breed and really worthy of breeding.   While she met #3, I realized that to show her to her Championship would mean LOTS of long trips traveling to "maybe" win majors.   I have a full-time job with limited vacation so honestly, I'd rather spend it doing other fun stuff.    So the bottom shot is of her in full hair at the last day of the shows in June.
