I finally got around to uploading photos from my camera so wanted to share some Christmas stuff with you quickly and will get some more posts ready to go here in the next few weeks. Things here at home are busy (more projects always) and are heating up at work so my brain and computer desire is gone by the time I get off work.
My holidays were filled, not with holiday fun but with deep cleaning and a big ol purge in my house. The clutter was getting to me (when things fall off the shelves every time I wanted to get something out) so I put a big old pause on doiog anything crafty (or fun) until it was done. I can say I'm pretty much at the end of it with maybe a bit more to do in the back bedroom but am feeling OH SO MUCH BETTER and have started catching up on some crafting just this week.
That said I did get some things done before that deep clean and I wanted to share those.
First was that I made 2 yucca pod wreaths right before Christmas. One for me and one for a friend. I had made one of these many years ago with a friend and decided on one of my trips back from Great Falls to stop and gather some pods and try to make another. I got 1/2 way done with #2 and ran out of pods so back I went and I also stopped and got some photos on the way back.
I couldn't believe the number of deer out here but then remembered hunting season was over!
I did minimal decorating this year and decided some outside stuff was okay. My tree was the little one out front and I repurposed the Halloween decorations as well. Solar lighting and plastic ornaments made it complete and didn't require me running extension cords all over.
Now they are all laying in the garage waiting for me to get them in the rafters which I think I'll do this weekend as we have a deep freeze coming next week.
I did get some quick fun ornaments done as well which are now stashed for next year. I'm telling you - want some fun ideas - youtube is the ticket. The little trees are from scanning toilet paper roll ornaments and well the little paper balls were just too cute to resist. Pipe cleaner snowflakes used up the stuff I didn't use on the trees. The pressed flowers are from my plants and ModPodge'd onto the cheap clear disks I found. The canvas is now hanging on my wall as well to remind me of Summer!
I'll try to get caught up here in the next post but that's all for now peeps! Hope everyone is rolled into 2024!
